Took a hiatus last 2 week from the Diary to spend time with family. I’m back feeling super energised and with lots to share!

Visualise Vednesday

I have been obsessed with all things visualisation for a really long time now. The whole idea behind Learning About Learning was also centred around being able to create visualisation nuggets of thoughts, ideas.

A couple of weeks back, I found some (learning) partners in crime at work. We decided to spend 30 mins every week visualising something together. We would pick a prompt & each of us could pick a medium of our choice to visualise it. This week’s prompt was ‘My Happy Place’ here is what I made -

Coolest Things I Learnt This Week

You are more than what you do: A large part of the last 2 weeks were spent at home in Delhi and Bombay with family. Even though I was working, work shrank to a small part of my headspace and identity. This was a refreshing change from work being the central character of my life. It got me thinking, can you be passionate about what you do and still not let it define who you are as a person?

Honestly, I’m not so sure.

Taking Breaks: I shifted to a low carb lifestyle earlier this year. It started off with keto but has moved to no grains, no starchy vegetables now. These past 2 weeks I sort of decided to give this a break for some time and indulge in festivities - in all its carb overloaded sense. Initially it was nice to eat some things I hadn’t eaten for a while, but eventually it reached a point where I was looking forward to going back.

Taking breaks - even it it means just a change of scenery, makes you understand what you value and why. Note to self, chase -

Pataka Max: Spend a larger part of the Diwali week playing dress-up with my entire family. Super grateful for these moments of love and laughter.
