Learning Nerd’s Diary #06 🏠

Hi folks!

Welcome back to the the Learning Nerd’s Diary.

I’m travelling this week & just about made it here. I’m glad that just the thought of missing a week seemed weird. Just shows how much a part of my life this has become. Thank you for being here.

Homecoming

I’m writing this week’s diary from Bombay. To be honest, it kinda feels like I’m back in a lockdown - simply because it’s raining so much that I have barely stepped out of my friend’s house. House arrest aside, I’m SO happy to be back here!

I have spent a lot of time in Bombay since my college was in Pune, plus my partner is from Bombay. Bombay sort of feels like home even though I have never stayed in the city simply because we have so many friends who are like family here. What is home for you?

Coolest Things I Learnt This Week

The Perks of Being a Juggler: I am one of those people that hates doing only one thing at a time. As a child I could colour, watch TV and eat my food all at the same time. Multi-tasking aside, multiple interests and being able to juggle them adds different dimensions to me as an individual. It is interesting how these interests feed off each other - on a hectic day at work I find my solace in cooking, I find learning analogies in fitness and so much more.

In Fitness, I Trust: The fact that someone is into fitness (of any kind) can tell you so much about a person. Fitness is a very integral part of my life and I realised recently, that I tend to relate to and subconsciously trust people who are into fitness a lot more easily than others. Besides that, there are so many life lessons that it teaches you - patience, hard work, goal-setting, consistency - the list is endless!

On Zooming Out: For some strange reason, airplanes tend to me very philosophical. Somehow, sitting on the window seat and looking at the world become a doll house - really puts things in perspective. Somehow for those couple of hours, all my problems seem very small. The world could be burning and you can trust that tiny window to amaze you with its beauty.
