Hello from Field! πŸ‘‹

Almost a year ago, Harsh Doshi and I took a leap of faith, leaving our jobs to embark on a new adventure together. Last week, we hit pause and ventured into nature for a 3-day offsite to reflect on our journey so far and chart our path forward.

Here are 3 key takeaways from our experience (P.S. They apply to learning, too!)

1/ Nature as a Facilitator πŸ€

We debated whether to stay in the city or escape to a more tranquil setting. Ultimately, we both agreed: space matters!

Disconnecting from the daily grind and immersing ourselves in nature was transformative. Trading screens for pens, post-its, and the quiet hum of the wilderness allowed for deeper introspection and more meaningful conversations.

2/ Planned Serendipity ✨

Harsh thoughtfully structured our offsite with a loose framework, leaving ample room for spontaneity. We napped, wandered, and even indulged in a few board games.

This level of flexibility, something I usually struggle with, proved invaluable. It fostered a sense of ease and openness that led to unexpected insights and creative breakthroughs.

3/ The Gift of Vulnerability πŸ₯Ή

Building a company is exhilarating, but it's also incredibly challenging. It inevitably leads to difficult conversations that need to be had. The offsite provided a safe space for us to be open and honest with each other, to voice our fears and anxieties, and to confront any lingering doubts.

This vulnerability, though uncomfortable at times, was ultimately a gift. It deepened our trust, strengthened our bond, and ultimately brought us closer to our shared vision.

In a Nutshell 🌰

This 3-day immersion in nature allowed us to reconnect with each other and our company on a profound level. The seeds we planted a year ago have taken root, and we're thrilled to soon share our creation with the world.

While we put together our website and laying the roots of our β€˜digital field’, we wanted to offer a glimpse into our journey. If you're interested in collaborating, have feedback/questions, or simply want to wish us well, don't hesitate to DM us! We're always up for a chat.
